Q & A
What experience do you have?
I have five years' experience in translation. I started with a degree in German and Modern Greek from King's College London, and then I completed an internship at the European Commission (Directorate-General for Translation), which led me to study a master's degree in translation at the University of Surrey. After I graduated, I took on two full-time roles at UBS and Credit Suisse before I started up on my own working for Language Connect and Transperfect.
Why do you only offer German and Greek as source languages?
At the moment, I can only offer the languages that I know, and, of course, those are German and Greek. However, I am looking to take on more translation professionals with other language combinations in the future. If there's a specific language you want get in touch and let me know!
What is your turnaround time?
This depends on the project in question, however, in general, I can turn around 2,000 words in a day for translation and 10,000 for any proofreading work. Editing work can vary depending on how much editing is required.
How much do you charge?
Simply go to the Contact page and fill in the details about your project. I will be in touch within 24 hours.
Are you a native English speaker?
Yes! I was born, grew up and studied in the UK, so I am British through and through.
What kind of English texts do you edit?
Anything that's written in English. I even have experience in editing novels. Whether it's a slogan or a lengthy essay, I'm sure I can help.
